At the initiative of the Georgian Electronic Communications Association, a meeting was held between authorized service providers and senior representatives of the Media Services Regulation Department of the Georgian National Communications Commission.

The meeting focused on the activities of unauthorized operators currently active in the market. Discussions addressed the growing number of offers appearing across online platforms, where unauthorized individuals advertise thousands of television channels, either through the purchase of set-top boxes or by charging monthly subscription fees. These services are being provided illegally by entities that are not authorized to operate under the applicable regulatory framework.

During the meeting, the participants agreed on a number of measures and outlined a coordinated action plan aimed at addressing this issue.
